Description: The aim of Healthy for Life 3rd Edition is to raise awareness about the importance of including sports and other outdoor recreational activities in the daily life of young people, highlighting their positive impact for a healthy lifestyle. For this particular aspect non-formal education methods will be used in a multicultural context and practical activities through which young people can learn by experimenting. The methods used will include teambuilding, acting, interactive presentation research, analyzes, group work, workshops, video making. Participants will have the chance to explore our mountains through hiking (at least 2 days) and engage in adventure activities with trained specialists (zip-line, adventure park with ropes, etc).

Description: The project stems from a desire to experiment and promote an inclusive dimension of sport capable of overcoming physical and cultural barriers and stimulating cooperation among young Europeans. The participants of this exchange will deepen topics such as healthy lifestyle and healthy eating and will try out some sports possibilities, including, compare the attitude towards sports and exercise in their countries of origin and the possibilities for practicing sports for all; In this way they will be able to raise social awareness about the importance of a healthy lifestyle and to spread the practice of sport, including the dissemination of European values of equality, non-discrimination, tolerance and solidarity, acting to promote international cooperation and the exchange of good practices. The STOP youth exchange aims to use sport as a tool capable of promoting youth development.

This will be done through games, debates, workshops and discussions. The main activity during the project will be working in groups in order to create games that will be based on the individuals’ childhood games and which are present in all the participating countries. Games represent the start of a child’s learning and this represents various aspects of culture, behavior and rules of individual participants and nations. The games will be presented at a festival in Kranj, which will be part of Youth Week. Throughout the whole activity, participants will gain work experience, improve their communication in a foreign language, and increase a sense of initiative and cultural awareness. The project will also offer an insight into digital journalism and article-writing tailored to certain communication channels. The mentor for this activity will be a youth trainer and journalism graduate with several years of experience in digital marketing. Participants will also have time to explore the town and to be involved in the lively and diverse programme of the Youth Week festival. The main aim of the project is to make youth aware about achieving a high performance team, through two main channels: becoming more self aware about ones capability within a team and on the other hand coming to the realization on how a group atmosphere makes one become a better team player. Topics discussed during the seminar are connected with different aspects of human rights, diversity, inclusion, youth work, fair play etc. in local communities, especially in a school setting. To deepen the context and broaden publicity, the training course will be organised in Football People Action Weeks 2015 period. The training will consist of three overlapping parts: first and the shortest part will be led by trainers in order to create a safe environment and a common ground of mutual understanding of the main topics of this TC through the use of active methods and discussions of local challenges. In the next part of the training participants will share their "best methods practice" and participate in study visits (in smaller groups) in local organisations involved in the topic of youth, intercultural dialogue, inclusion and fair play sport. This part will also include working on specific case studies reflecting various youth social environments. In the last part participants will be invited to create new innovative methods to be used with their target groups. This will provide participants with possibility to elaborate a concrete way of running youth work activities using the competences gained during the first two parts of the training and their own experience. At the end of this TC the "SPORT FOR DIALOGUE" booklet containing articles, interviews and project ideas created by all 21 participants will be published. Malta UNESCO Youth Association is inviting you to participate in a photographic and video exhibition titled ‘Through the Lens.’ The aim of this project is to promote cultural diversity in Malta and raise awareness on human rights issues in our society. Participants can work individually or in groups to produce a series of photos on the theme of multiculturalism OR human rights. We are accepting a max. of 3 participants per team for the photographic project. Participants will also benefit from seminars organised by MUYA, for which we have invited expert speakers to deliver talks and workshops on the respective topics. These seminars will be held in October. The photography teams will have their photos mounted and prominently displayed at the Qawra LEAP Centre during the launch of the exhibition. The program brings together more than 100 young people from 10 different countries in Europe open call participants and participants from " Beyond Borders"-a project implemented by Summer Camp Tsaf Tsouf, which accommodates people with disabilities and takes place every year in the summer camp Tsaf Tsouf. -that will be, in parallel with "TOGETHER". It is through the investigation of the diversity and richness of history (including folk customs, architecture, fashion and social conventions) of the different countries that this project will seek to answer contemporary challenges such as unemployment and lack of opportunities especially for young people. The project will be hosted in two locations - Ustrori (6 days) and Katowice (3 days). Foreseen activities include long-term social actions, local campaigns on social networks, outdoor activities and the creation of a website related to culture and youth entrepreneurship. Inspired by the “Study on the impact of Non-Formal Education in youth organizations on young people’s employability” launched by the European Youth Forum in October 2012 (whilst also bearing in mind the increase in unemployment in Europe, recorded at 5.52 million unemployed youth in 2012) the proposed project offers methods, tools and practices, that people involved in youth employability can use so as to provide support in pursing diverse career prospects. Participants will be encouraged to build on the experiences gained from the project and adapt them according to the demanded standards back in their countries. Description: "Young Entrepreneurs in Action II: Combating Unemployment" is an 8 day training course that will group 28th youth workers supported by trainers and support staff, from 8 EU countries. The main aim of the project is to introduce youth entrepreneurship as a tool for fighting youth unemployment. During the training course participants who work directly with young people (who are either current or future job-seekers) will learn how to introduce the idea of entrepreneurship to young people, how to motivate them to be pro-active and how to support them during the process of applying an entrepreneurial approach into career development. During the training course, participants will have the opportunity to explore entrepreneurship through multimedia presentations, interviews, plenary discussions, open space technology, creative workshops, role plays, active selling simulation exercises and more. Between the 6 and 13 of December, 31 youth workers and youth leaders from 9 different countries met together for a training course focused on developing competences in youth leaders necessary for running top notch Youth Exchanges in the Erasmus+ programme. The project, "Laboratory: Technology of Involvement", was organised by the Malta UNESCO Youth Association at the Marsaxlokk Youth Activity Centre, Malta, and co-funded under the Erasmus+, Key Action 1 - Learning Mobility of Individuals, programme. Directed by trainers and support staff, the training course enabled the promotion and facilitation of an active approach to build appropriate models of motivation in young people. Through the conceptual use of a laboratory, an increase in the understanding that the role of personal and professional development play in youth work was obtained. The main aim of the project was based on the fact that group leaders from different NGOs are able to increase the quality of Youth Exchanges through the finding of appropriate models of motivating young people to actively participate during the implementation of the project by gaining new skills and knowledge. The training course was complemented by the facilitation of reflection on personal motivation to be a leader and self-evaluation. In addition, creativity and communication skills were built up, along with support for inter-cultural exchange, and fostering of mutual understanding between young people in different countries, which helps to increase quality of Youth Exchanges. To work on the key competences for active participation among youngsters, participants from Cyprus, Estonia, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Spain and Turkey were brought together in Malta.

The Malta UNESCO Youth Association (MUYA) is pleased to inform you that the Culture Fest that was organised on Sunday 19th October, in collaboration with the Qawra Leap Centre, and co-funded by Aġenzija Żgħażagħ through the Be Active scheme, under the patronage of H.E. the President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, was highly successful.
Since MUYA works in the field of developing culture, education, science and communication and spreading the ideas of UNESCO amongst youth and grown up population in Malta and internationally, the main aim of the festival was to promote active citizenship and cultural diversity through the participation of people coming from various cultures was reached on all accounts. The countries represented ranged from Colombia to the Philippines, and from Morocco to Lithuania. Food, dances and singing were the highlight of the day, with performances including dancing, workshops and various bands, all live on stage! On behalf of the Committee Members, we would like to thank first and foremost all the volunteers who supported us during these past months up to the event and all those who attended this event, our families and partners who supported us along the way and anyone else who helped us in any way or another. Notably, we would like to thank participants from all the countries, Colombia, Libya, Lithuania, Malta, Morocco, Philippines, Russia, and Ukraine. The Malta UNESCO Youth Association is delighted to inform you that it will be organising a Culture Fest on Sunday 19th October from 11am till 5pm. The festival is being organised in collaboration with the Qawra Access Centre, and co-funded by Aġenzija Żgħażagħ through the Be Active scheme. The Qawra Access Centre, founded in 2008, aims to empower residents from the community of St. Paul's Bay to be active. They aim to identify the needs of the community and to work in close collaboration with various stakeholders to be able to address these needs.
Since MUYA works in the field of developing culture, education, science and communication and spreading the ideas of UNESCO amongst youth and grown up population in Malta and internationally, the main aim of the festival is thus to promote active citizenship and cultural diversity through the participation of people coming from various cultures. We are hence looking for people who want to participate in the festival as follows:

Type: Erasmus+ (KA1- Youth Exchange) Dates: 20th- 28th October 2014 (8 days) Participants needed: 5 participants + 1 leader Age: 18 - 25 Location: Białystok/Podlasie, Poland Costs: Travel costs 100% out of a maximum budget of 270EUR reimbursed. Food and accommodation 100% free. 10 EUR Participation fee + Membership fee of 5 EUR apply. Host: Foundation for Freedom Countries: Finland, Italy, Malta and Poland. Project Description: The project "FAIR PLAY FOR ALL" is an 8 day youth exchange that will group 24 participants from four EU countries. The main theme of the exchange is anti-discrimination and education through sport and outdoor activities. During the project, the participants will discuss topics related to discrimination, human rights, education and sports (with special emphasis on football), in order to learn methods to prevent social exclusion. To sum up the results, towards the end of the YE, participants will organize a mini-tournament and social event with the local community. Participants will also meet and work with football players of the multicultural football league "ETNOLIGA". Finally, the participants will broaden their knowledge on human rights, sport, theatre practise, and anti-discriminatory education. Type: Youth in Action (Training Course) Dates: 4th- 12th October 2014 (8 days) Participants needed: 2 participants Age: 18+ Location: Stumica, Macedonia Application Deadline: Tuesday 26th August Costs: Travel costs 70% out of a maximum budget of 500EUR reimbursed. Food and accommodation 100% free. 10 EUR Participation fee + Membership fee of 5 EUR. A participation fee of 30 Eur by the host organisation applies. Host: Center for sustainability and advanced education (CSAE) Bitola Countries: Macedonia, Malta, Albania, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Azerbaijan,Georgia, Moldova, Romania, Serbia and Turkey. Project Description: The project "Empowering Young Jobseekers" is an 8 day training course that will group 36 participants from twelve countries. The aim of this project is to develop the competences of youth to be able to integrate easily in the labour market and, in the process, empower other youth in doing so. Participants will have the opportunity to practice and enhance new skills and engage into a self-confident attitude to find and keep into stable jobs. During this TC, participants will investigate the current and predict future market needs, learn how to manage personal finances and set career goals; all in the context of personally developing oneself. The methods used for this TC will include role plays, panel discussions, brainstorming, games, inner/outer circle and pair share and pair work tools.
