The Malta UNESCO Youth Association is delighted to inform you that it will be organising a Culture Fest on Sunday 19th October from 11am till 5pm. The festival is being organised in collaboration with the Qawra Access Centre, and co-funded by Aġenzija Żgħażagħ through the Be Active scheme. The Qawra Access Centre, founded in 2008, aims to empower residents from the community of St. Paul's Bay to be active. They aim to identify the needs of the community and to work in close collaboration with various stakeholders to be able to address these needs.

Since MUYA works in the field of developing culture, education, science and communication and spreading the ideas of UNESCO amongst youth and grown up population in Malta and internationally, the main aim of the festival is thus to promote active citizenship and cultural diversity through the participation of people coming from various cultures.

We are hence looking for people who want to participate in the festival as follows:
  • Volunteers to help before, during or after the event
  • Photographers to take various photos during the event
  • Video editors to film the event and then work on a video to be published after the event
  • Local or foreign artists (singers / dancers / play any instrument)
  • Foreigners who would like to set up a stall with traditional food, drinks or crafts
  • Individuals or groups who can dance their traditional dance or maybe teach the dance

For more information about the festival, or should you wish to participate during the day, we urge you to send an email on: dorianne@muya.info by not later than 5th October.

You may also wish to follow us on twitter at: www.twitter.com/muyamalta or join our Malta UNESCO Youth Association Facebook page: www.facebook.com/muyamalta

We look forward to hearing from you!
