The aim of this project is to acquire play writing techniques and explore how these can be used as a powerful tool to strengthen the capacities of anti-discriminatory youth work. During this TC, participants will learn how to set a context for a play, to create an interesting character and character groups, and finally how to develop a story and make it work. Traditional and new methods of play writing techniques will be explored and applied to youth work. Moreover, in order to create an inspirational atmosphere, most of the workshops will be held outdoors in fascinating locations in the cities of Potsdam and Berlin. Non-conventional sites such as alternative theatre stages will also be explored. Finally this TC will revolve around the play "The Life Before Us" by the extraordinary writer Romain Gary (1914-1980), French diplomat, novelist, film director and WW II aviator.
