Three members of Malta UNESCO Youth Association, Ryan, Julian and Karen this summer took part in a training course entitled ‘’ Young Entrepreneurs in Action: Discovering Means of Beating Unemployment” that it took place in valka beach, Estonia.

The main aim of the project was to introduce youth entrepreneurship as a tool of fighting youth unemployment. During the training, the trainers worked directly with young people (who are either current of future job-seekers) learnt how to introduce the idea of entrepreneurship to young people, how to motivate them to be pro-active and how to support them during the process of applying entrepreneurial approach into career development.

The project was organized and executed in Valkla Rand, Estonia with 27 participants from Cyprus, Estonia, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania,Malta, Poland, Romania and Turkey.

We have spoken with the particpants and the outcome was :

Julian: All I can say that this training course was one of a kind. i think it was perfect in all sense. Trainers know what they were saying & Doing. The chemistry between the countries was amazing. Location was beautiful and Sessions were perfectly organized with a lot of food for tough. The thinking hats were something that i know already, but the way that they were presented makes more sense to me. The session when we had to invent something than we had to sell it was nice. Simple things that not even in a million years they would come up to your mind we had done them and sold them. Learning some words in different languages and improving my English

Karen : This is my experience in Estonia following and participating in the entrepreneurship course organised by Shokkin Group. We were a nice group of people coming from mixed backgrounds. Most of us have precarious jobs or are jobless. We acquired skills to analyse our entrepreneurial potential through group work over a week in Valkla Rand. I could appreciate the diversity of participants' views and ideas. This is my first experience in attending such EU funded cross border and multinational courses.

Ryan : First Of all i want to say a big thanks to pavel birgit and jana for all what that they teach us trough this tc. So... For me was very helpful cause with those tools that i learned and practice i can used them in my career and to develop it easily in the future. The post think that i liked the most was when i done my workshop with Karolina Grityte and she was my boss and we worked in a good teamwork NOT as individual.

Special thanks go to Birgit for all her help in this course
