In the framework of World Philosophy Day 2010 at UNESCO’s Headquarters in Paris, taking place on 18 November 2010, a Facebook account “World Philosophy Day” has just been launched by a group of young philosophers.
This account aims to give the floor to the greatest number of people, and most particularly to the young members of this network and beyond in order to debate issues suggested by the young philosophers themselves. You are cordially invited to join this forum of on-line exchange and to participate in the discussions that have already been launched, on themes such as “Does civilization stem from competition?” “Research and truth” “Love and pessimism” “Facebook, opinion and being faithful to oneself” And others more… The discussions that will come out of this forum will be further developed in a café philo at UNESCO’s Headquarters, to be moderated by young philosophers - Salle des Pas-Perdus, 125 avenue de Suffren, 75007 Paris - on 18 November 2010, from 10h30 to 12h00 You are also cordially invited to join us in all other activities that will take place during 18 November 2010 (for detailed information, please visit http://www.unesco.org/shs/philosophyday2010) |
