Training course on  intercultural communication within international youth projects according to the proposals of Youth in Action programme

The overall aim of the training course:
To train youth leaders and youth workers on development and improvement of intercultural communication competences in order to communicate the most appropriate way within international youth projects according to the proposals of Youth in Action programme. To explore and develop intercultural communication skills and knowledge, leading to intercultural dialogue in action.
 
Learning objectives of the training course are:
  • To raise awareness on how culture affects communication within international youth cooperation supported by YIA programme;
  • To improve understanding of the balance between culture and language ability to ensure effective communication within international youth exchanges;
  •  To look at language and jargon, especially in youth project applications according to the proposals of Youth in Action programme;
  • To develop communication strategies and guidelines to develop confidence in communicating interculturally before, during and after international youth projects;
  • To provide an insight into the similarities and differences of communicating - through language, behaviour etc., which can strengthen the partnership of different international youth projects;
  • To develop new project ideas according to the proposals of YIA programme based on high quality intercultural communication.
Who can participate in the training course:
Youth workers directly working with young people, and youth leaders having experience of running at least one international youth project who;
 
  • are aged over 18;
  • are ready to take part in the whole training course;
  • have organizational support for further activities with young people;
  • are able to use English as working language.
Eligible countries:
Romania, Bulgaria, Malta, Portugal, Turkey, Italy, Norway, Hungary
 
Financial conditions:
The food and accommodation will be provided and paid by the organizers. 70% of travels costs will be reimbursed either by bank transfer after the course or at the end of the course in cash. It may be that money from European Commission will be late; in that case, as mentioned, you will get your reimbursement after the course by bank transfer (be ready for that).

The participation fee is 30 Euros!
