Ecology & Healthy Living - Youth Exchange - March 2013 in Greece

Malta UNESCO Youth Association is looking for participants for a youth exchange in Greece in March. The aim of the project is to provide young people with the possibility to experience living in the country side/mountains and through that to develop a better understanding for the environment and its preservation but also an appreciation of healthy living as defined by physical exercise, nutritious non‐processed food and harmonious relationships with the community and the earth. 
The objectives can be identified as follows:
  • To provide space for interaction with young people representing a variety of cultural and other backgrounds and through that to foster participants’ intercultural sensitivity.
  • To introduce to the participants a series of outdoor recreational sports and activities that can greatly improve their physical condition and their respect to the natural world.
  • To create space and offer support for the participants to express themselves and raise questions through the use of contemporary artistic media, such as video/multimedia, sculpturing, handicraft with recyclable material etc.
 
Useful information: 
Number of participants per partner/promoter: 5 + 1 group leader
Age of participants: 18 – 25. No restriction for the group leader.
Dates: 4th - 12th of March, 2013
Place: Seli mountain, Greece 
A priority will be given to young participants facing social difficulties

If chosen to participate in this event, an administration fee of EUR 10 payable to Malta UNESCO Youth Association.
Membership in MUYA is required to be able to participate in this event. If you are not members yet, a EUR5 membership fee is applicable and the membership form can be found in the link below;
