CALL for 8-10 Maltese Participants: Romania Mobility Dates: Friday 24th May- Monday 27th May 2013 Application Deadline: 11th April 2013 Costs: project is 100% funded (travel, accommodation, food) by the Lifelong Learning Programme. Description of the Project: Throughout the 2 years period the EPAEMSI project spans (August 2012-July 2014), adult learners from 7 different countries (organisations) have the opportunity to participate in a number of local activities run by every individual organisation as well as travel to a Mobility Visit organised by the partner organisations. The aim of these events is to introduce participants to informal and non-formal learning and through other different methods engage them in activities that would help reduce the risk of unemployment and social exclusion. There are 7 international Mobility Visits organised in partner countries.The third international Mobility Visit will take place in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, (the second largest city in Romania) between 24th-27th May. There is place for 8-10 altese participants for this visit. The focus for this event will be to learn about and exercise the best practices that EDRC employs towards social inclusion. The profile of participants for Romania Mobility Visit: - To be over 18 years old and no longer undergoing initial education within the formal school or higher education; - From disadvantaged social groups which may include but is not limited to: a) those with special needs; b) groups facing socio-economic disadvantage; c) those with few or no formal qualifications; d) travellers, refugees, migrant workers; e) those with disabilities; f) minority ethnic groups; g) individuals living in rural or deprived inner city areas; h) those unemployed; i) offenders and ex-offenders. Responsibilities of the selected participants: Selected participants are obliged to participate in the participants meeting on Tuesday 16th April at 17:00 at YWCA premises 177/178 Valley Road, Msida with MUYA representatives and in the local mobility workshop organised in May together with the participants that participated in the Malta Mobility. Participants are expected to pay a deposit for their flight tickets (circa €150-200), depending on the expense of the tickets at that time. This is to confirm their participation in the programme.
