Project Name: European Partnership on Adult Education and Mobility for Social Inclusion (EPAEMSI)
Project co-funded by the European Commission through Lifelong Learning Programme & run by Malta UNESCO Youth Association (MUYA)

CALL for Maltese Participants: Malta Mobility Event 
Dates: 2nd March- 4th March 2013
Application Deadline: 22nd February 2013
Participating Countries: Spain, Malta, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, Italy and the UK
Costs of participation (including daily meals): free of charge

Activities:
  • We will start off with a welcome reception on the 2nd of March.
  • Presentations of good practice in promoting social inclusion locally
  • The highlight of the event will be the visit to Hagar Qim on March the 4th where Maltese adult learners will be given the possibility to tour guide the group around this world heritage site. This activity will be followed by a very interesting pottery workshop.
  • Conference on non-formal education for social inclusion followed by the intercultural celebration
  • A certification will be awarded at the end of the Malta Mobility Event. 

The profile of participants for Malta Mobility Event:

- To be over 18  years old (over 25 or between 18 and 25 who are no longer undergoing initial education within the formal school or higher education);
- From disadvantaged social groups which may include but is not limited to:
  • those with special needs;
  • groups facing socio-economic disadvantage;
  • those with few or no formal qualifications;
  • travellers, refugees, migrant workers;
  • those with disabilities;
  • minority ethnic groups;
  • individuals living in rural or deprived inner city areas;
  • those unemployed;
  • offenders and ex-offenders
There are 7 international Mobility Events (about 2-3 days) organised in every partner country.  There is place for  5-8 Maltese participants for this international Malta Mobility Event. The advantage will be given to those who wish to attend one of the Mobility Events organised by international partner organisations abroad later on this year. MUYA can send a total of 16 participants (adult learners potentially at risk of social exclusion) and  8 accompanying members (trainers, staff, organisation representatives) to 6 events taking place in the partner countries. The number of Maltese participants for each Mobility being held abroad ranges from 3 to 5. Every successful applicant going abroad to a Mobility event is expected to participate in the local workshops and pre-departure training organised by MUYA.

  1. Spain - November 2012 (past)
  2. Malta – 2nd-4th March
  3. Romania - May 2013
  4. Poland - August 2013
  5. Slovenia - November 2013
  6. Italy - February/March 2013
  7. UK - June 2014
